Honesty
Some Bibles label this section of the Sermon on the Mount "Oaths." But it's about more than vows. Jesus had just corrected popular misunderstandings about divorce, which is a breaking of marriage vows. In the next few verses, He went on to discuss vow breaking in general. And we see that the human tendency to play fast and loose with the truth is not a new phenomenon.
